One envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Three pears , cut into 3/4-inch cubes
One package (8 ounces) mixed salad greens
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
Place dressing mix, water and vinegar in cruet or container with tight-fitting lid. Add oil; cover. Shake until well blended.
Toss pears with 1/4-cup of the dressing in large bowl. Let stand 15 minutes. Add greens, cranberries, walnuts and remaining 1/2-cup dressing; toss lightly. Serve immediately.
Recipe makes ten servings.
