Sleep/Food Study
A study conducted on 46 healthy individuals, between 21 and 50 years old who for 5 straight nights slept at a clinic. Thirty-four of the study participants were in the sleep-deprived group. On the second night, they were kept up the entire night, while everyone else had 8 hours of sleep.

Food Intake
The following day, all of the study’s participants ordered food from a menu. The total calorie intake was about the same for those in the no sleep group vs. those in the sleep group. However, those in the sleep-deprived group consumed much more fat than those in the well-rested group.
