I heard that there is a new insulin like lantus but better. Is this true? also does it mean my dose can be cut down now because it is more powerful?

A new injectable insulin that came out is called Toujeo. It is 3 times more concentrated than Lantus and has shown to have better control over blood sugar in 24 hours. Consult with your provider if you are a candidate for Toujeo. The dose you will inject, once approved by your provider, is similar to the dose of Lantus insulin. Once you dial in the dose on the Toujeo syringe, the syringe will provide a dose adjustment on its own.
